The Raised Bridge

An attendant stops visitors at a drawbridge. On the far side a girl’s foot is beneath the edge resting on a stone. He raises the bridge only a few centimetres; she pulls her foot free and thanks him. No boat needs to pass.

1. Choose a narrator: they read the answer privately and hide it.
