The Larger Hole

A metal washer cannot fit around a pin slightly wider than its hole. A mechanic heats only the washer uniformly and fits it on. Nothing is filed away and the pin is not deformed. The material around the hole expanded rather than shrinking.
- Choose a narrator: they read the answer privately and hide it.
