Two Keys Required

Two managers each hold a key and believe both must be present to open the gate. One morning one opens it alone. The other padlock is still locked and has not been forced. The chain’s ends were joined by passing from one padlock to the other.
- Choose a narrator: they read the answer privately and hide it.
- Read the premise aloud. Answers: yes, no or irrelevant.
- When the game ends, mark the puzzle as played.
