The Last Word on Tape

A witness says the recorder was left running before the farewell and gunshot, with nobody touching its controls afterwards. The tape is instead at the start of the message. The machine has no automatic rewind; officers challenge that sequence rather than immediately declaring murder.

1. Choose a narrator: they read the answer privately and hide it.
2. Read the premise aloud. Answers: yes, no or irrelevant.
3. When the game ends, mark the puzzle as played.
