In a continuous panoramic photograph a man appears at both edges in the same clothes. He has no twin and the film has not been spliced. The camera rotated slowly from left to right; some witnesses remember him passing behind the photographer.

The answer
The panorama did not record everything at the same instant. After being photographed at the left edge, he went behind the camera and reached the group at the right edge before the rotation framed him. The film captured two moments of one person, not two simultaneous people.
