The scale that does not change

A shopkeeper puts some goods on a scale. A customer rests the bottom of a heavy bag on the same pan, but the displayed value does not change. The scale works, and its pan does not touch the counter.

1. Choose a narrator: they read the answer privately and hide it.
2. Read the premise aloud. Answers: yes, no or irrelevant.
3. When the game ends, mark the puzzle as played.
