The Clock’s Summer

An old pendulum clock runs slow in a very hot room and becomes more accurate again when the room cools. The hands do not slip and the mechanism has not been adjusted. A technician measures the suspension-to-weight distance; it is slightly greater when hot.

1. Choose a narrator: they read the answer privately and hide it.
2. Read the premise aloud. Answers: yes, no or irrelevant.
3. When the game ends, mark the puzzle as played.
