Shadow and His Plane

Shadow was preparing to get on a plane and fly to Germany to solve an important case. Suddenly, his assistant rushed up to him, and told Shadow he had had a dream last night that Shadow's plane would crash and begged him not to go. Shadow wordlessly went to the plane and survived the flight. Upon reaching Germany, Shadow called and had his assistant fired. Why?

One player reads the premise and knows the answer. Everyone else asks yes/no questions until they reconstruct what happened.
