The incredible rabbit
Level 2 · Medium
Johnny is tired of rabbits constantly coming to eat all his vegetables. One day he decides to build a large fence all around: it is four feet high and sinks two feet into the ground, in case the rabbits try to dig an underground passage. The fence is very solid, so much so that no rabbit or other animal could break it, and there is no way a rabbit could get in without the help of a person. Two days after building the fence, Johnny finds rabbit bite marks on his cabbage and carrots. No human has brought rabbits over the fence or helped them get in, so Johnny can't understand how they could have gotten there. How did the rabbits get into the garden?

The answer
The rabbits had not entered the garden: they were already there when Johnny built the fence. Johnny had forgotten to let the rabbits out while he was building it; so instead of keeping the rabbits out, he kept them in. When he noticed this, he let the rabbits out and hasn't had any problems with them since.
