On a beautiful road, there’s a bus stop that is fully operational. However, no public transport stops there. Why?

The answer
This stop is in Germany next to a nursing home for senile dementia patients. It has a schedule of supposedly passing bus routes hanging on it. Old men and old women who tried to tail off, went to the bus stop, sat down and humbly waited for their bus. If the nursing home employees noticed that one of the inhabitants had been missing for a long time, they just went and picked them up from the bus stop.
