What to Do?
Level 2 · Medium
I was walking through the park one day and I heard something fall into the water. I noticed a woman standing on a bridge. She was crying and I overheard her saying this: "You've brought me nothing but aches and pains. I cannot go anywhere with you holding me back. You have hurt my soul and I can't live any longer with you. I'm leaving you behind! When I come home from work you're all sweaty and smelly! This isn't working!" I just walked past and didn't even look in the water. I was very calm. What did the woman throw (or push) into the river and why did I not care?

The answer
The woman threw her shoes into the river and I knew this because: She said they hurt her soul. This could mean they hurt her sole. They caused her aches and pains. When shoes get too small or old they tend to do that. They held her back and wouldn't let her walk anywhere. When you walk for a long time in shoes they get sweaty and smelly. I would suggest that she get new shoes!
